Internet Spam

First of all, to all those people who think unsolicited commercial email or "mass mailing" is "the way" to market their product(s):

I have never knowingly bought anything from a spammer and make it a "policy" to avoid purchasing absolutely anything from someone who has contributed to the amount of spam in my mailbox.

However, I am offering a service for spammers: all you need to do is send your mail email to me to "sign up" for my archival service. For $500 US, I will archive a single copy of your message for not less than thirty days from the date of receipt. This service is fast an easy for you! Simply send me your message and payment is due immediately; delinquent accounts will simply be turned over to a collection agency for payment.

Getting Rid of Spam

Some things that might help in our quest to rid the Internet of UCEs (Unsolicited Commercial E-Mails) and other forms of SPAM.

The MAPS RBL

Paul Vixie's Mail Abuse Protection System and Realtime Blackhole List for blocking known spammers and their friends (ie. spam-friendly sites).

The Open Relay Behaviour modification System or Open relay Realtime Blackhole System. Perhaps a bit more extreme than MAPS RBL, but they mean well and can be effective.
