Paramount Canada's Wonderland

Paramount Canada's Wonderland is located in the city of Vaughan, just outside of Toronto, and is considered one of Canada's Premiere Parks. It features eight themed areas with close to two hundred attractions on 330 acres. The park opened in May of 1981.


Rides and Pastimes...

Dragon Fire (1981)

This Arrow Dynamics steel coaster features a double loop and a corkscrew. The track is 2160 feet in length for a 2:10 minute ride.

Mighty Canadian Minebuster (1981)

Curtis D. Summers designed this 3828 foot woodie (the largest wooden coaster in the park with a 2:40 minute ride time). The ride was manufactured by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company.

Wilde Beast (1981)

A 3150 foot long, Curtis D. Summers "double" out-and-back (Wildcat) wooden coaster. The ride reaches a maximum speed of 27 miles per hour and was manufactured by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. Ride time is two and a half minutes.

Ghoster Coaster (1981)

A children's woodie, manufactured by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. Give the kids a 1:50 minute thrill over the ride's 1,356 feet of track.

Sky Rider (1985)

A tubular steel standup coaster designed by Togo, Inc. which features a single vertical loop. The 2,210 feet of track takes you for a 2:25 minute ride.

Thunder Run (1986)

Mack Gmbh and Company manufactured this themed runaway mine train. The short 1,083 of track takes 1:45 to complete.

The Bat (1987)

A Vekoma boomerang. Six inversions in 875 feet of track in only ten seconds less than two minutes.

Vortex (1991)

An Arrow suspended coaster that reaches speeds up to 55 miles per hour. This is currently Canada's only suspended coaster. The ride is 2,361 feet in length and 1:45 long.

Top Gun (1995)

Canada's only inverted looping jet coaster by Vekoma. The track measure 2,172 feet in length and the ride time is 1:45.
